A new month means a fresh batch of video games that will be launching. There are some classics coming to a new system, a highly anticipated shooter, and sequels, sequels, sequels. There’s even a new game for the PSVR that’s sure to make owners happy.
Here are the top games players should keep an eye out for in May of 2019.
Yakuza Kiwami 2
Yakuza Kiwami 2 launched last year for PlayStation 4 owners. Now, with all the love Sega has given to the beat-em-up open world franchise, the title is finally heading to PC. PC gamers have a lot to look forward to in Yakuza Kiwami 2, with a ton of activities to do and people to beat up, Kiwami 2 is a game with a ton of content. Even though the core game hadn’t changed much since it’s original release, when it launched, we thought “there were a lot of really great additions that make Yakuza Kiwami 2 really special.”

I really loved Rage when it launched all the way back in 2011. It wasn’t a perfect game by any means, but I loved exploring the wasteland and obliterating enemies with awesome weapons. After eight years and lots of fan demand, Bethesda is finally releasing Rage 2. This sequel looks to take the things that made the original fun, and ramp it up to 11. Brutal kills, slick looking weapons, and lots of player skills look to make Rage 2 a very fun contender in the FPS market. Sure, Far Cry New Dawn might have stolen some of its post-apocalyptic thunder when it launched in March, but Rage 2 still looks like a bloody good time.

A Trio of Resident Evil titles
It was only a matter of time before some of the Resident Evil titles made their way to Nintendo Switch. Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil, and Resident Evil 4 will all be available for Nintendo’s console/handheld hybrid later this month. All three titles will be based on their newest versions, and should be scaring fans on the go for a while to come. Capcom has a penchant for bringing older titles to as many consoles as possible to give fans the choice to play how they want, so it’s no surprise these are being released again. They most recently released Resident Evil 2 (2019) for Xbox One and PS4, so anyone wanting to get more of the story behind these great horror titles should check out these as well.
Check them out beginning May 21st for Nintendo Switch.
Blood & Truth
To be honest, I haven’t turned on my PSVR since the launch of Moss. I know, I know, I’ve missed out on Astro Bot and Beat Saber. That looks to change with the launch of Blood & Truth. Developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment London, this FPS follows Ryan Marks as he tries to save his family from a criminal empire in the London Underworld.
Check out the trailer below, and then check out Blood & Truth when it launches on May 28th for PlayStation VR.
