It’s been a big year for Activision Blizzard! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare hit $600 million in sales in the first three days, we saw the long awaited return of Spyro for Nintendo Switch, and the company launched an all new IP from FROMSOFTWARE with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. This is all in addition to the return of World of Warcraft: Classic. For the holidays this year, players can find not just a host of discounts on some of Activision Blizzard’s biggest releases, but also a ton of licensed content for them.

So let’s start with the games. For Black Friday players can expect to see Crash Team Racing, Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy, Overwatch for Nintendo Switch, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy all receive discounts at different retailers. Other than Sekiro, all of these games have varying other products that can go with them for the super-fans in your life. Let’s break down some of these deals below:

  • Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled: This one can be grabbed at GameStop for Nintendo Switch for $24.99, or at Meijer for PlayStation 4 for $19.99.
  • Crash Bandicoot N-Sane TrilogyAvailable at Best Buy for $19.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, or at Walmart for $15 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and $20 for the Switch version.
  • Overwatch: Legendary EditionThis hero shooter is still going strong, but can be grabbed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at GameStop for $16.99. The Nintendo Switch version will surprisingly be on sale at Best Buy, Target, and Walmart for $25.
  • Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice: One of my favorite games of 2019 will be about half off for Black Friday, and can be snagged at Best Buy or Walmart for $25 for both consoles, and Meijer for $29.99 on PlayStation 4.
  • Spyro: Reignited TrilogyAfter releasing a little bit later for Nintendo Switch, Activision’s adorable dragon finally made it to Nintendo’s hybrid console. Meijer will have it for $19.99, while Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and GameStop will all have it for $24.99.
  • Call of Duty: Modern WarfareActivision just released this one about a month ago, but a couple of retailers are dropping this one down a little bit. You can grab one of the best Call of Duty titles in years for $39.99 at Best Buy and Meijer, or for $38 at Walmart and GameStop.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare also has a couple of additional peripherals for a competitive edge with the SCUF Vantage 2 controller, and a pair of Activision’s Modern Warfare branded Astro headset magnetic plate tags. The SCUF Vantage 2 controllers are highly customizable, with four back paddles and two side-mounted buttons. All of these can be customized to your liking with a customization app as well. SCUF controllers are well-known as a controller of choice for lots of Call of Duty esports players, as well as content creators, so it’s worth checking out if you haven’t had the chance to try one.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare SCUF Vantage 2 controller is available now online and at GameStop in North America. For those who own a pair of Astro A40’s can pick up a magnetic speaker tag set. The mod kit comes with three different magnets: the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare logo, an Allegiance logo, or a Coalition logo, so you can rep your favorite faction

That’s it for games and peripherals, but Activision still has plenty more for those that want collectibles and other merch for their favorite titles.

  • OverwatchThere’s a ton of Overwatch merch this year, so bear with me. There are new Lego sets, figures, and a new NERF Rival collection. The NERF Rival collection is probably the coolest of the bunch, but the Lego sets do look pretty great. The NERF guns are modeled after Reaper, McCree, D.Va, and Soldier 76’s weapons.
    • There are plenty of different Overwatch lego sets, but the ones gamers will probably be the most interested in this holiday season are the two new ones: Junkrat and Roadhog, and Wrecking Ball. I’m including an image of the Roadhog set below, but the rest can be seen here.
      • These Lego sets range in price from $14.99-$89.99
        • HASBRO Overwatch Figures sees new releases for Lucio, Sombra, Tracer, Reinhardt, Shrike Ana and Soldier 76, Mercy and Pharah, and Blackwatch Reyes Reaper.
          • The Overwatch Ultimate figures are available from $20-$50, and can be purchased directly from the Blizzard Gear Store or from GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy, or a few other retailers.
        • There are a few new products in the NERF Rival Collection, all designed after signature hero weapons from Reaper, McCree, D.Va, and Soldier 76.
          • This line of products contains some of the pricier options of the Overwatch line, but still range from $9.99-$129.99. These can be found on the Blizzard Gear Store, GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy, and directly from the NERF website.

  • Crash Bandicoot and SpyroBoth iconic gaming characters have received love from Bioworld, Funko, and the Totaku figure line. There are varying products for both characters, so we’ll break those down a bit more.
    • Crash Bandicoot has finally gotten their own Funko product line featuring most of the iconic characters, and Crash Team Racing has even received a Pop! Rides to celebrate.
    • Spyro has also received an entire line of Funko Pops!, and while these have been out for a while, there are plenty of characters in this series to pick up for fans who haven’t grabbed them yet. Lastly, there is a new Spyro figure for the Totaku line of characters. These are similar to Amiibo, but feature a wide variety of characters.
      • Prices on these will vary depending on purchase place, but they generally retail between $9.99 and $12.99. Check GameStop or ThinkGeek for some of them where all Funko Pops! will be Buy 2 Get 1 Free. For the Totaku line of figures, they retail for $9.99
    • Crash Bandicoot apparel: Bioworld and Exquisite Gaming have a few things covered for Crash Bandicoot fans. Their partnerships with Activision means apparel and accessories. A new box (modeled after the series’ TNT boxes) includes a travel mug, lanyard, stress cube, key cover, and Vinyl sticker sheet. Bioworld has some great shirts that fans can check out as well.
      • Both Bioworld Products and Exquisite Gaming products can be found on Amazon with varying prices.

  • Call of Duty: Modern WarfareLast, but certainly not least, is the iconic yearly franchise from Activision. Macfarlane’s partnership with Activision continues this year, alongside other partnerships with Exquisite Gaming and DRKN.
    • Macfarlane has launched an all new Captain Price figure to celebrate the return of one of the most familiar faces in the Call of Duty franchise. Just because it’s a reboot, doesn’t make him any less iconic, right?
      • Captain Price can be purchased at Amazon or GameStop, starting at $19.99
    • The DRKN line of Modern Warfare apparel is really sleek, but comes with a much higher price tag. The entire line can be found here, so if you’re in need of new shirts or jackets, definitely make sure to check out the partnership’s product line.
    • Much like the Crash Bandicoot box, Exquisite Gaming has a collector’s box for Call of Duty fans. The lineup included is a bit different though, and comes with a hat, sunglasses, a pair of coasters, waterproof notebook and pencil, and a utility key ring.

That’s it for this year’s Activision Blizzard Holiday Product line-up. World of Warcraft: Classic didn’t see any deals at major retailers but there is so much to choose from you will be sure to find that amazing gift for the gamer in your life, or a little something for yourself!
