Ahead of its October 25th launch, Activision Blizzard has revealed the licensed peripherals heading our way for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The lineup this year sees a custom SCUF Vantage 2 controller for PlayStation 4 and PC, as well as a Modern Warfare Astro A40 Speaker Tag Set. The SCUF Vantage 2 looks to be the big draw this year, and looks to bring more casual gamers slightly closer to the competitive scene.
The SCUF Vantage 2 controllers are highly customizable, with four back paddles and two side-mounted buttons. All of these can be customized to your liking with a customization app as well. SCUF controllers are well-known as a controller of choice for lots of Call of Duty esports players, as well as content creators, so it’s worth checking out if you haven’t had the chance to try one out. I’m quite partial to my Astro C40 controller, but would love to give this one a look. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare SCUF Vantage 2 controller is available now online and at GameStop in North America.
On the Astro side of things, it’s a bit lighter this year, but those who own a pair of Astro A40’s can pick up a magnetic speaker tag set. The mod kit comes with three different magnets: the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare logo, an Allegiance logo, or a Coalition logo, so you can rep your favorite side. The speaker tag set isn’t available quite yet, but it launches on October 22nd, three days before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare does.
Be sure to stay tuned with us around launch time for full coverage on Activision and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, because we’re pretty excited about the impending launch. Until then, check out the new SCUF Vantage 2 a little more here, and preorder Modern Warfare here.
