Upcoming action adventure Control has received a trippy new launch trailer ahead of its August 27th release. In Control, players take control of Jesse Fayden as she begins her role as the new director of the Federal Bureau of Control. This is the first multiplatform release for developer Remedy Entertainment since 2010’s Alan Wake. Jesse will explore the “Oldest House,” the FBC’s paranormal headquarters in New York City.

Players will battle supernatural enemies called the Hiss, a supernatural entity that inhabits the bodies of normal people. Of course, a lot of the plot is still under wraps as Remedy Entertainment want players to experience the story for themselves. The really unique thing about Control is how ever-changing the Oldest House really is, and players should expect to sink some serious time in to uncover all of the secrets it has to offer.

Additionally, 505 Games will be hosting a Control launch day stream on August 27th from 8 AM to 4PM to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, so anyone interested in seeing what the Oldest House has to offer should check that out too. Players will fight enemies with abilities that Jesse uncovers as she uncovers more and more of the house, as well as a service weapon that players can modify in order to suit different situations.

Control launches next week, and we’ll have full coverage of the game sometime around launch, so check out the new trailer below and be prepared to see what Control has to offer on August 27th from Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games.

Control launches August 27th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through the Epic Games Store. Preorders are still available here.
