Activision has dropped a new trailer for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, showing off some of the customization options that will be available in the kart racer. While most of the gameplay will obviously be about the racing, it’s nice to have some customization available in this release, when it wasn’t present in the original titles.
Activision previously announced that Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled would be getting all 13 tracks from the Crash Nitro Kart release and some retro content will be making it’s way to this remake.
Players will be able to customize all parts of their ride, mix and match any style of components, and add decals to the karts. Additionally, karts from Crash Tag Team Racing will be available in this outing. Activision also announced that racers will be customizable. Some of the racer customization can be seen below, but players should expect a ton of crazy outfits to pick from. Aside from the already announced characters, characters from Crash Nitro Kart will be making an appearance.
To earn customization items, playing through the adventure mode in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is required. Along with this, as players collect Wumpa coins they can visit the Pit Stop area to customize their characters and karts. Character stats from the original release will be making a return, and there will be beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes included for people looking to jump into the franchise, or veterans making a return.
Check out the new trailer below, and keep checking back with us for more info as we inch closer to launch. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled follows the Spyro Reignited Trilogy remake treatment from Activision, which we absolutely loved playing through again. Check back around launch time for a full review.
