Earlier today, Bandai Namco announced that the popular anime monster hunting title God Eater 3 would be making its way to the Nintendo Switch platform.
Initially released for Playstation 4 and PC to generally positive reviews, God Eater 3 features a wealth of content for players to battle through to defeat the Aragami. Players join the God Eaters, special characters able to wield powerful weapons called God Arcs in order to take down the Aragami that have infested the world. There are more than a few types of God Arcs for players to utilize in order to take down enemies the way they want to, along with a large number of skill customization options for players.
It’s funny too, that this announcement comes a couple months after launch, because with short levels for players to eat up in shorter gameplay bursts, God Eater 3 almost felt built for portable consoles. This version on Nintendo Switch opens up a whole new audience to enjoy hunting and killing. Players can team up with three other players either online or locally to hunt the Aragami. Alternatively, players can join up to seven others to take on assault missions for large group battles.
Anyone who preorders God Eater 3 will receive exclusive Yuri and Estelle costumes from Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition for use in God Eater 3, which can be preordered now. When it first launched, we thought that “despite the UI clunkiness and slightly dated visuals, teaming up with friends is lots of fun in God Eater 3. The single-player mode is no slouch, either. Loads of story and side missions will keep players engaged, even when the story gets bogged down with anime clichés now and then.” Check out the announcement trailer for the Nintendo Switch version below, and stay tuned to Electric Bento for future updates.
God Eater 3 is available now for Playstation 4 and PC, and launches for Nintendo Switch on July 12th. Preorders are available here.
