After getting a new trailer showcasing Kitana and D’Vorah, NetherRealm and Warner Bros have dropped an all new trailer showing off Shao Kahn gameplay in Mortal Kombat 11.
Granted, not everyone will be able to play as Shao Kahn immediately, as he is a preorder bonus. We’re assuming that his availability will be included in the Kombat Pass, and preordering just gets him added to the roster at launch. Shao Kahn is the emperor of the Underworld, and uses his strength and influence to drive his expansion.
There will be an additional livestream on Monday, April 22nd to show off another as of yet unannounced gameplay reveal on Twitch, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, and Mixer. The stream on the 22nd will begin at 3 pm CDT. Shao Kahn joins a large number of playable characters in Mortal Kombat 11. He fights alongside and against Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D’Vorah, Kabal, Jade, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs, Kotal Kahn, Noob Saibot, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Jax Briggs, Cetrion, The Kollector, and Kitana.
Mortal Kombat 11 wasn’t announced all that long ago, so there was a quick turnaround between announcement and release. The new title in the acclaimed fighting franchise launches April 23rd for Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Check out the new gameplay trailer below, and stay tuned on the 22nd for the next gameplay reveal right here at Electric Bento, and be sure to check back shortly after launch for a full review. Anyone wanting to add Shao Kahn to their roster at launch should be sure to preorder Mortal Kombat 11 at participating retailers. It was Mortal Kombat’s 25th anniversary a couple years ago, so it’s nice to see the fighter returning to the arena.
