After launching last month to positive reception, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will finally be receiving the fan-favorite Nuketown map. It’s just in time for Thanksgiving Break too, especially for Playstation 4 owners. Nuketown launches tomorrow, on November 13th, first on Playstation 4, and will be launching next week for Xbox One and PC. Nuketown debuted all the way back in the original Black Ops, and has seen a number of rebuilds over the years. It was last seen in Black Ops 3 back in 2015. There’s a new trailer for Black Ops 4 Nuketown that can be seen below.
More recently, Activision released a new companion app for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, WWII, and Infinite Warfare. The new app is designed to bring players together and complete challenges as a clan for in-game and real life rewards. Additionally, players can analyze match and map data to see choke points and see how their play-style is working for them. I’ve been using the app for the last week or so, and while it’s easy to get in and set up a clan with friends, we still haven’t figured out how to use the match analyzer to benefit play. Since each enemy plays so differently, it’s hard to change playstyle based on the data given. However, the app is extremely to use, and has a host of other features for players to utilize.
When Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launched, we thought that “despite not having a campaign, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is one of the most complete packages to date. Treyarch took a gamble not including a campaign in this outing, and while some people still might not like the decision, I have personally already put more time into Blackout than I would have any single-player mode.”
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC exclusively through Battle.net. Purchases are available here.
