Bandai Namco has revealed the details of its first two DLC episodes for the open world action adventure title One Piece World Seeker. Both DLC episodes will be available later this year as part of a season pass of content, or can be purchased individually. When One Piece World Seeker launched earlier this year, we thought that “despite relatively repetitive gameplay, there’s a lot of fun to be had in One Piece World Seeker. Players invested in the story of the Straw Hat gang will find a bit more to love, with an all-new story to eat up.”
Episode 1 will launch in Summer of 2019, and features Zoro as the main playable character.
After sneaking into a robotics factory, Zoro finds KAGERO, a self-learning experimental weapon that can mimic opponents’ attacks. After discovering this dangerous weapon, it escapes and begins to wreak havoc on the citizens of Prison Island.
Zoro is a master of blades, and as such his character has been designed to deal more damage to enemies that he is locked on to. Additionally, he will have a new air dash ability that lets him move quickly through the air for exploration and sword strikes. Similarly to his character in the show, due to his poor sense of direction, parts of the mini-map and map will be blurred out to realize his character properly in One Piece World Seeker.
Episode 2 will be available in Fall of 2019 and will feature Sabo as the playable character. This will be followed by Episode 3 in Winter of 2019, featuring Law as the playable character. Other than the main characters, nothing else was announced for the second two pieces of DLC for One Piece World Seeker, but we’d imagine we’ll be getting more info in the coming months. Keep checking back with us for all news from Bandai Namco.
