Ahead of its Friday launch, Activision and FromSoftware have revealed a new gameplay overview trailer for its all new IP: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Sekiro, although being developed by the same people behind the Souls and Bloodborne franchises, features some all new mechanics based around familiar gameplay. Players will need to use poise and balance to take down foes, waiting for the opportune moment to attack. Sekiro takes place in 16th century Japan, after a warrior is left for dead and has his arm severed, gets a new prosthetic and earns the name Sekiro, which translates to one-armed wolf. Developed by the legendary Hidetaka Miyazaki, this all new IP seems a little more action based than either of the aforementioned franchises. This new gameplay trailer gives a little bit more of an in-depth look at gameplay as opposed to the launch trailer from last week.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be launching for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 22nd. Alongside the regular version of the game will be a collector’s edition. The collector’s edition will include a steelbook case, a figurine of Sekiro, an art book, a physical map, a download code for the OST, and in-game coin replicas. Most outlets are currently sold out of the Collector’s Edition, but be sure to check back on launch day, because often times collector’s editions get restocked on launch day, like Devil May Cry 5 did on Amazon. Check out the all new gameplay trailer below, and check back to Electric Bento shortly after launch for a full review.
