The Division 2 launched to pretty universal positive reviews. Sure, it wasn’t going to please everyone, but the foundation that Ubisoft laid out for agents moving forward was a great jumping off point. Ever since the announcement, developer Massive has been pretty transparent as for what players should expect for the launch. There have been several post launch updates, but this one coming on May 16th is pretty sizable.
For the first time across two titles, The Division 2 is getting a raid, and players aren’t quite sure what to expect. This is a bit more sizable than the four player core missions that players are used to, and eight players will be able to tackle this first raid, titled “Operation Dark Hours.” There is quite a bit of grinding required for players to get “raid ready.” Players need to be level 30, reach World Tier 5, and have a gear score of 490. It’s not necessarily the most difficult requirements, but definitely time consuming. Once the raid goes live at 6 p.m CEST / 12 p.m. EST / 1 a.m. KST / 2 a.m ACT, players must speak to the helicopter pilot at the base of operations, which will unlock the new raid tab in the social menu.
While 8 players will go into the raid, the person who sets up the raid group will be designated as the leader, and the 8 players will be broken into two 4 player sub-groups. Ubisoft has also released a description of the raid:
Despite CERA’s best efforts to contain the outbreak at the Washington National Airport, the situation quickly became untenable, resulting in the airport being coated in DC-62 and subsequently abandoned. When the Black Tusk arrived in D.C., they set up shop in the now derelict airport. It’s up to you and seven friends to flush them out and you will be challenged on not only your skill but also on your ability to analyze, adapt, and cooperate.
