Person 5 Strikers is coming to the west -- and soon.

I absolutely adore the Persona series, especially Persona 5. It’s probably become my top game of all time. So, when Atlus announced a new game, Persona 5 Strikers, but it was exclusive to Japan, I cried on the inside. I even contemplated purchasing it and not know what was going on just so I could play with my favorite characters again. Now, Atlus has given the west a release date and I couldn’t be happier.

Persona 5 Strikers is considered by many to be a direct sequel to Persona 5. So the same characters, some of the same locations, the fabulous phantom thieves, and more make a return for players to enjoy and crave. From the looks of the trailer, there are new enemies, players get to return to school for further adventures, and there may be a new phantom thief in their mix in a white puffy outfit (though I have a sneaky suspicion that this is Kamui, who was introduced in Persona 5 Royal that came out earlier this year in the west.)

There are many walkthroughs available for those who want to learn more about Persona 5 Strikers and what it can bring to players, but I’m going to keep it a surprise. After all, I want a whole new Persona 5 experience, so no spoilers allowed in this household. But I am very excited to try out the style of gameplay, which is similar to Koei Tecmo’s Warriors series that I have come to love as well.

Action reigns in Persona 5 Strikers

Unfortunately, Atlus has since removed the trailer with the release date here in the west, leading many to believe that it was an accidental reveal. But nonetheless, we caught the release date: February 23, 2021.

After the chaos that has been 2020, it will be a wonderful time to return to the Metaverse and kick some butt along side the Phantom Thieves. Preorders aren’t yet available at major retailers such as GameStop and Target, but make sure to keep your eyes peeled for this next Persona 5 adventure. I can’t get enough of this series and to be able to continue it will be a wonderful experience.

Persona 5 Strikers will be available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, the Nintendo Switch, and is surprisingly coming to Steam. Atlus released Persona 4 onto Steam just this year.

Are you excited for Persona 5 Strikers? Which platform will you be playing it on? I can’t wait to see what this Persona game has to offer its fans.
