Ahead of its November 15th launch, Bandai Namco has revealed the latest trailer for TOKYO GHOUL:re [CALL to EXIST]. Gameplay looks to be a mix of Dynasty Warrior-esque battles, mixed with more linear exploration. The new trailer also shows off several of the playable characters special moves, and what players should expect out of combat. TOKYO GHOUL:re [CALL to EXIST] is the latest in a long line of anime inspired games from Bandai Namco, and follows Code Vein‘s September 27th launch for the publisher.
TOKYO GHOUL:re [CALL to EXIST] is expected to have both single and multiplayer modes, as well as online and offline gameplay. Playable characters include iconic characters from the show such as Haise Sasaki, Juzo Suzuya, Akira Mado, and Ken Kaneki.
Ghoul Investigators examine crime scenes that are thought to be caused by ghouls and use “quinques” – weapons made from a ghoul’s organ called “kakuhou”- to pacify and eliminate these fiendish creatures.
The latest trailer can be seen below, and be sure to check back with us later next month for full thoughts on TOKYO GHOUL:re [CALL to EXIST]. Until then, check out what we thought about Code Vein, which me lauded with praise: “The fast paced combat helps it have a vibe completely distinct from its Dark Souls inspiration, while crafting its own identity. Lots of customization between classes and abilities help keep combat fresh while exploring the world, even when you’re dropping countless enemies and running back to a rest point to turn in your experience.”
TOKYO GHOUL:re [CALL to EXIST] launches November 15th for PlayStation 4 and PC. Preorders are still available here.
