It’s almost the Fourth of July, which generally means Independence Day Weekly Game Deals! Apparently not on stuff gamers want this year, though. Sales across the three major retailers (GameStop, Best Buy, and Target) are lacking this week, with Best Buy once again leading the pack. Best Buy is actually running a small sale on PC hardware, which is something the retailer doesn’t do often. A lot of the games on sale at Best Buy are similar, or the same, as the ones that were on sale last week, with a few notable exceptions.
Additionally, Best Buy is running a sale on select Xbox One controllers, for $20 off, as well as a free three-month PlayStation Plus subscription with purchase of a PS4 Pro. GameStop is continuing to run their 4 for $10 on preowned games under $4.99, alongside their 20% off bag sale.
Similarly, GameStop seems to be running a slight PC and accessory sale. Target, on the other hand, has opted not to put any games on sale this week, so we won’t be including them in our roundup. I’m a bit surprised that the early July game deals aren’t as good as they usually are.
Devil May Cry 5: $49.99
Ark Survival Evolved: $29.99
Mortal Kombat 11: $49.99
FIFA 19: $19.99
Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe: $44.99
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: $49.99
Pokemon: Lets Go, Pikachu!: $44.99
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: $39.99
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 8-Core 3.7 GHz Processor: $269.99
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz Processor: $149.99
Preowned Original Xbox One (500GB)+2 preowned games $19.99 and under: $159.99
Preowned Original PlayStation 4 (500GB)+2 preowned games $19.99 and under: $259.99
That’s actually it for this week’s game deals. Like I mentioned before, it’s a pretty weak week for Fourth of July deals, but Best Buy still has some decent options for those looking to save a few bucks. Check back next week as we look at the best game deals for the second week of July!
