I’ve always loved Looney Tunes. And they’ve had some PoP! figures in the past, like a line from the movie Space Jam with Michael Jordan. But this new line shows off the characters as themselves, for the most part.
There are your standard characters, like Taz, Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, and Sylvester and Tweety together. They look like the cartoon characters. Then there is Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny in Opera outfits, which I find a little bit weird, but I’ll go with it. To be fair, Bugs Bunny has always been one to dress up for almost any reason. The only thing that I’m concerned about when it comes to this line is the eyes of the animal characters, except for Taz, Tweety, and Bugs. They’re white. Like completely white. It’s unnerving. At least with the black eyes, it looked like eyes because pupils are black and are actual eye color options. White is not a normal eye color, no matter how much of the eyeball is actually white. People don’t focus on those, they focus on the iris and the pupil because it is a point to look at. It’s freaky!
There could be an argument made that Daffy Duck has to have white eyes because of the black feathers, and same goes for Sylvester for his black fur. It still is unsettling and makes me feel like I’m being watched by a creeper. May be a little bit extreme, but these things are straight up weird. I know why they were done, so people could actually see the eyes of the character, but I don’t like them. But, if you’re a fan of these cartoon characters or have fond memories of any of these characters, then I would snag them while they are out in the wild. They’re very well designed and the figures themselves are detailed and nice to look at. Just beware of those eyes.
