Warner Bros. and DC Universe announced today that Titans Season 3 has been greenlit and will premiere on the DC Universe online service in the fall of 2020. The news comes as the second season of the popular show begins to wind down to its conclusion in a few weeks. The news also serves as a sign that the DC Universe service will continue after the arrival of the HBO Max service, which is set to debut in the spring of 2020. This is welcome news for fans of DC Comics and its properties.
Season 2 of Titans has seen the arrival of more characters, including Conner Kent/Superboy (Joshua Orpin) and Rose Wilson/Ravager (Chelsea Zhang), as well a new villains, including the deadly and nefarious Deathstroke, The Terminator (Esai Morales). Titans Season 2 has even introduced Bruce Wayne (Iain Glen of Game of Thrones fame) to serve as an on-screen mentor to Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) — though not without some twists and turns, and the Batusi dance. Seriously.
It’s too early to predict where Titans Season 3 will go, as the weekly streaming show is still airing the second season, but the change in direction from the first and second seasons has been nothing short of monumental. Our Season 2 review will go up once the season wraps, but we can say that Titans Season 3 will have some big shoes to fill after the events of this year.
Titans Season 3 joins the already announced return of Doom Patrol on the DC Universe streaming service. DC Universe is the go-to source for all things DC entertainment, with over 25,000 DC comics, both old and new, hundreds of hours and classic DC films and TV shows, and original content that drops each week. DC Universe is also the exclusive home for new episodes of Titans, Doom Patrol, the upcoming Harley Quinn animated series, and more. Doom Patrol will also be featured on HBO Max after it airs on DC Universe.
Titans Season 3 is expected to premiere in the fall of 2020. New episodes of Titans Season 2 air each Friday. Season 1 is available to stream in its entirety right now.
